Health agencies at the federal, state and local levels have been engaged in fighting the health crisis through testing and recommendations for its citizens to keep themselves safe. As a community agency, we are among the institutions on the front line that need to assume a strict and unhesitating responsibility in taking all steps necessary for helping to shut down the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Open buildings where people gather in numbers have the potential to spread the virus. Close contact with infected people, some who do not realize they are infected, have been shown to spread the virus.
As a community agency and one where people regularly come, we need to immediately assume the responsibility to help protect our community, in both the immediate and long run, by shutting our doors and suspending any and all in-person services.
Our digital offerings remain available for cardholders, including our vast collection of eBooks and audiobooks, eMagazines, streaming movies, music and television shows as well as most research tools for online learning.
All Book Drops are now open and you may return your items. Once received, returned items are being quarantined following CDC procedures and guidelines.

To stay healthy, the CDC and other health agencies recommend:
1. Washing your hands frequently. Wash your hands for 20 seconds or more with soapy water. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
3. Avoid contact with people who are sick.
4. Stay home and away from others if you are sick.
5. Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces frequently.
6. Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
