August 26 is Women’s Equality Day! Join us for conversations with suffragists Susan B. Anthony and Carrie Chapman Catt (as re-enacted by Women in History performers) as they bring to life the struggle for women’s right to vote that began in 1848 and culminated in the 1920 passage and ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote. Explore these women’s personal lives, challenges and victories, as well as the cultural and political circumstances that motivated them to fight for the right to vote in America.
